OnlyFans Removes X-Rated Content From Its Platform

XXX models and adult entertainment celebrities are no longer fans of OnlyFans. The site recently announced it's banning all explicit content from the site. It makes me wonder then what the site is really going to do moving on. After all, all of us loved the platform cause it let our favorite cam stars, porn celebrities and kinky exhibitionists post whatever they wanted for the enjoyment of us — their fans. Unfortunately, that's no more. Starting in October 2021, your subscription to a content channel at OnlyFans will get you little more than Disneyesque photos, and run-of-the-mill clips.

However, there are other great sites that haven't been brainwashed by the PG-brigade. Read on to find out why OnlyFans decided to lose its fans and which other sites are poised to take over the mantle from the probably soon-to-be-forgotten OnlyFans.

The Official Vs Unofficial Story

The official reason why OnlyFans is banning all explicit content is that its banking partners and payout providers have insisted they become PG-friendly. Financial institutions don't like to be connected to the adult entertainment world. I'm not going to go into any long-winded rant about hypocrisy, but all I'll say is watch Wolves of Wall Street, and come to your own conclusions.

You may wonder why only now this is happening. After all, for the past few years, OnlyFans (and other similar subscription-based XXX content creation sites) have had investors, and worked with banks and payout providers. So why OnlyFans, and why now?

Well, a few of the market commentators have surmised that the site needs a new injection of cash, and potential investors have 86'd the site as an interesting investment possibility until it cleans up its act and says bye-bye to the babes with the bodies that made it famous in the first place.

Who Really Cares?

Now, I know about porn, and not about financial markets and all that jizz. But it all seems a bit hazy to me. If you look at the history of the site, it was founded by Timothy Stokely, who is a self-described 'British entrepreneur in the adult entertainment industry'. So it's not as if the original investors and payout providers didn't know what they were getting into.

The original content creators were the ones responsible for attracting users to the site. As of August 2021, the platform had over 130 million registered users. It was the professional and amateur models offering adult content that other sites wouldn't allow that made it so attractive to dudes like myself. With so many users, mainstream celebrities soon realized they could capitalize on the backs of the original babes and they started to create channels selling their images (without the XXX factor). For example, Blac Chayna makes an estimated $20 million a month from her OnlyFans channel.

So all of a sudden the hard work of the original OnlyFans content creators is now deemed unacceptable and the big earners, the ones who don't really need their OnlyFans income to survive, have taken over.

Fortunately, there are other platforms to take up the slack.
